You are welcome. I suggest sending in the used seat to get modified. that way if you trade or sell your bike you can keep the RDL and put the stock original back on. the new Russell seat may fit the next bike you get if it is a Harley.

Thanks, I do plan to send the used seat to Russell.
Thanks for all the info - lots to consider! I’m looking at some of the classifieds. Jabmike - why are you selling your tallboys? I would assume with those I would need an extended shift And brake lever....
Take a look at Tallboyscycles.com. A kit that moves the boards forward and down for more room. I have a used set for sale in the classified as of today.

I looked at the tallboy lowering kit but having just fitted the Kuryakyn brake pedal if I lowered the boards I'd have the same issue as before in that the brake pedal would be too high again. My preference is to raise the seat. I spoke to LePera seats a few weeks ago and they are working on a tallboy seat that moves you back and up and they say it should be available around October time.
I spent the money I would have spent on a seat that may or may not be better on a Airhawk seat pad. Money well spent.
I had one of these for my GS Adventure, it certainly helped with the comfort but I always felt slightly 'unstable' on the seat, even with minimal air in.

After seeing what you ride I can see it might seem unstable, with the Electra Glide I don't have that issue.
