Black doesn't get dirtier then any other color, it just shows more. Black is a full time job that's for sure. I cant count how many black vehicles Ive owned, and its always the same deal. Polished out properly, I like it better then any other color. Swirled up mess on black paint looks absolutely terrible.
To help keep black cleaner longer, ceramic coating or silica coatings are a godsend. More so on cars/trucks but same theory works on bikes. It will never be as easy as taking care of silver/gray, but it makes it so much better

I'll have to look into those coatings. Swirl marks just kill me.
my wife still is not a fan of the color of my bike. I told her when she buys one she can pick the color. You're the only one whose opinion matters. You own it
That's a pretty bike. I had a black Road King for ten years and loved the bike. PITA to keep it looking the way it should. Then I replaced it with a blue and silver 2017 Road King and love the new one ten times as much.
Yes, black bikes have a "look", no question. I'm now a fan of color and not going back.
Mine is Vivid Black just because it was the only wet head the dealer had when they first came out. It has the silver stock pin stripe. I've changed it up a couple of times by adding different pin stripe over the stock silver. I'm in the process of making another change. This is my new favorite and I think it ascents the black very well.
n=/not for me, but that doesn't matter at all. go for it. only reason to not jump in is if you're a bike flipper and are buying for resale. Seems silly to me if that's the case. I totally get wanting variety so go for what you like
