Question CVO seat

I'm thinking about buying a CVO seat . Are they more comfortable
than stock ? Are they leather or vinyl ? Or are they just more poor
quality like other HD seats ? I'm planning a 2 week trip next summer
and I've got to get a better seat .

I have mahogany cvo solo seat and i LOVE it
BUT
i like firm flat seats. I move around alot on bike.
Others who have sat on my bike love looks but aren’t enthusiastic about how stiff it is.
Thats my 2 cents.

I don't mind stiff I just don't want to feel
like I'm sitting on the seat pan after a couple
of hours .

I believe the true CVO seats are leather covered, but do not know that for sure.

I have the low profile solo and pillion from the P&A catalog. It sits you down and back, and is a great seat. It is vinyl covered. I have done several 500 mile days on it. I do have the cvobackrest.com riders backrest and I feel it makes it more comfortable than without it.

I typically ride solo, but on those rare occasions that my daughter ride with me, she tells me the passenger seat is not comfy.

The cvo seats are amazing but very pricey. Most dealers don't have cvo demo seats to try out. The only way to tell if a seat fits your *** is to ride on it for several hours. A lot of money to shell out to see if it works for ya or not.

Majority of the cvo seat is vinyl but it does have leather panels. Like others have said it's more of a flat firm seat that sits you down and back a little. I've had a 2018 cvo seat and have now a 2019 seat on my cvo sg. I like them very much and will probably buy a 2020 cvo sg seat to replace my stock 2019 cvo seat, seems to be the same seat I just like the look and stitching better. Maybe stop by a HD dealer and sit on a new cvo to give you a better idea.

I've looked at those . I've got a friend that uses the solo
seat & likes it . my wife rides with me a lot so the back
seat better be comfortable or I'll hear about it .

Gotcha, the only one who has touched the rear seat is my 13 year old daughter and her little narrow butt probably couldn't give a proper review, LoL. For rear passenger comfort it is my opinion that you would be better off with another seat for the wife, it's not very wide or big, probably be ok for her on short trips though.

I'm looking for the dimensions so I can compare stock & CVO .
It doesn't matter if I love the seat if I have that constant pain
in my ears from the passenger area .

if your wife is like mine the only CVO Seat she should would like is the one that came off a CVO Limited, They are basically a heated hammock seat with leather panels. I had one from a ‘13 CVO anniversary bike that I used more than 20k miles and the wife really like it. I currently have one from a ‘19 CVO Limited with red stiching. I have a ‘19 CVO RG and she would not consider any thing more than a 30 minute ride to dinner on the stock seat, so I had to find one off a Limited.
Good Luck in your decision.
