Got the classics (not pictured below) recently with the V&H FuelPak and stage one kit. The sound is nice, so nice in fact the wife rides more often. She says the bike, "sounds more like a Harley". But all are right. Find a bike set up like you want and listen. When you hear the sound you want rush right in and buy the pipes you heard. You won't be sorry.
Hi guys I looked into this matter very thoroughly and it was the rush or the ovals and I got a chance to hear both by Hanging out at the dealer so I did it and I never looked back I also have a bud who has the slipons and he too likes them but they are just deeper in sound on the 96 inch motor.
Wow, there are lots of oval fans around here! I'm pulling towards them, also...Has anyonetaken the baffles out? My buddy said myEG sounds like a Spree stock [:@]. He thinks a Hog has to be loud, yet he's never ridden a bike in his life. I told him too loud = annoying on a longerride.
I have the ovals and like them. I ran into a guy at the HD shop last week who had true duals like myself with rineharts, and I thought that those sounded really good. A little more rumbly than my ovals but a little more tame at the same time. I think that the ovals are hard to beat in the looks department-
Best place/price to buy these Slip-on Ovals ?
Wife & I are meeting Dionne51(one of the fellow HDforum guys here) that has a set on
his SG so I can hear his firsthand this Sunday and then taking him on a tour of our riding area.
