Where to store an extra Harley engine....?
I got married later in life, to an absolutely amazing woman... she reminds me of that fact almost daily...
She didn't blink an eye when I started saving money to replace the engine in my '16 Classic, with an FM 124" crate engine...
Last weekend, I told her I was going to keep the old 103" engine, and was going to store it in under the bench in the shop. She said, "It looks pretty, you ought to display it." Then she went shopping.
I like to push her buttons... we just did a remodel of our master bedroom and two bathrooms (you think Harleys are expensive..!!). My wife was very hands on, picking all the colors, textures, fixtures, and the new furniture for the Master. She was very particular and proud of her work.... She did a great job...
When she left to go to the store, I decided to display my Harley engine in the new Master Bedroom.... Yeah, that's right... I said I like to push her buttons...
She came home to this:

She saw it, and started laughing hysterically......
Now she wants to leave it there through Thanksgiving. She's got family coming who haven't seen the remodel, and she wants to see the looks on their faces....

Looks good to me. My wife's pretty forgiving too. I had my motor apart and on the coffee table in the living room for a month waiting for parts and the crank. Never bitched once ...my bad, yes once when i was using gunk to clean out the cases lol. It did smell pretty bad. And yes my table is a piece of **** lol. Currently both our bikes in the living room keeping warm for the winter...its nice when you find a woman that just gets "it". Hang on to that one.
