Looking to replace the stock dash console on my 2018 RGS with something more streamlined. This looks like a good option, but I heard the gas cap leaks (Sportster supposedly fits)
Before I buy it, who is running one and whatre your thoughts? Hows the fitment, quality, etc? If yours is black, how is the paint? Do you use the sporty gas cap, and if so, is it flawless? Dont want to be across the country with gas leaking on me or the gas cap not popping up as it should. Thanks!
I bought one that looks just like this off ebay. Same picture even. I think it was about 30 bucks or so. Fit is pretty good but the cap is a little cheap. I've been using it for a little over a year. I'll probably replace the cap this winter.
I was not too thrilled with it, too shallow in the front, pressing down hard on the fuel pump, and sending wires, have to modify the front hole that holds it to the tank, otherwise does not sit over fuel port of tank, wants to run off to one side or the other and then the fuel cap will not sit centered, black and found scratches in the paint only after I mod the front hole, for what they charge I think is way too much, others have had to mod it also, and found scratches in it also.

I bought the same one off eBay for about $35. It's plastic and the fuel cap leaks when the tank is full. After a year or so it has scratches in the chrome but still looks good enough. If the one from amazon is metal it might hold up better.
Edit: I see the one from amazon is aluminum so maybe it is worth that amount of money.

I've had mine for 2 years now and have had no problems.
Fits fine and looks great. I saw the plastic one on Ebay and decided against.
I went with a black one with the chrome cap.
