Anyone have them on their bikes?
Did you put them on yourself?
I was about to order some today but the salesman told me that they were pretty hard to put in yourself. I don't live all that close to a dealer so in order for them to do any work I have to basically wait around until it's done. Which is hard on the pocketbook because I spend the time looking at parts.. Walking out with some I had NO intention of buying when I went in!
Piece-o-Cake to install! Put them on my '05 RKC. Use a paper clip to remove the wire from the plug on the old gas gage and pull the wires out with the gage. Insert paper clip on the same side of the wire to remove pins from plug.
Like Whistler said its a piece of cake. Took longer to find tools than to install the gauge. The OEM fuel gauge pulls straight out , the new one has three screws that tighten it down. New one looks a lot better IMO.

I too put them on mine and love em but I would sugest you get extra OEM plugs for the gauge just in case you do the same thing I did when installing the clips into the plug after running them through the hole in the tank.once in you'll love them the gauge is so easy to read when you get to two dots you get gas.
I feel a little more confident in getting them & putting them in myself.
I don't "think" I'm completely useless.... But there have been times in the past when I tried to do something myself only to bring it to the dealer and say "Can you fix my mistake? I'll just be over here by myself eating some humble pie..."
there was another thread fromI think it was PWR3 a week or so ago wherehe put them on his Road King and it seems a slew of people had problems with the LED's for the fuel gauge going bad in short order and the dealer would not help.they say the warranty is only 90 days. I was gonna get them too but that kinda turned me off
Funny you should ask, I just installed the kit on my 07 RK last night. All went smooth, with one exception, the plug for the fuel gauge, is directly under the gas tank, up in the middle by the frame. Took a bit of positioning with my fingers to get the 4 prong to snap into place. Fortunately my fingers aren't as large as most. Otherwise I would have had to remove the gas tank completely, which I believe I've heard others do?
