I have been looking at the vance and hines big shot duals. Any opinion on those. Those seem to be the best priced true duals on the market. I've heard good things about them, I just wanted more feedback before ordering them. I don't want to spend $1,000 on true dual exhaust. Any help or opinions on the matter would help. Thanks
I'm partial to the Bassani pipes. I have the same scoot and I have the Bassani Power curv duals on mine along with the Bassani slipons. Great sound. Not too loud till you open it up, then WOW.
trevor I have the Big Shot Duals on my RK Classic and I really like them a lot. Gets lots of compliments on the clean single pipe appearance and the sound all the time. Actually because of my bike my local dealership has sold a dozen sets of them after the perspective customer hears/sees my bike. I suggest going to your local dealer or a local rally though and listening to a bunch of bikes and then decide.
custom07RKC, those are a complete system right. You don't have to buy the slip ons seperate? Did you notice in increase in power? Did you go with a fuel pack or PCIII? Since I'm yound and dumb I'm hoping that they are loud.By the sounds of it they are.
I went with the SERT and the SE A/C and had it dyno'd after the 1000 miles. I had a few HP added but the tourque went up around 10 or so ft-lb. They are very loud somewhere in the 100 decibel range. I just took a 1200 round trip on the bike and got 45 mph average. I am very pleased with them and would highly recommend them. You are also correct in there are no slip-ons to add they are all one pipe from the head to the tip with an internal baffle (very clean looking appearance on the bike).
i have them also. you can get them through the drag specialties catalog on zanottis web site for a good price. they can be loud if you want, but they can also have a 'mellow' rumble to them if you don't want to wake the whole neighborhood. you can also get the optional quiet baffles if the need arises.
i use a pciii from fuelmoto, mapped by jamie, and the se a/c with k&n filter. i don't have any dyno numbers, but i am very happy with the way the bike runs. plus the pciii richened up the fuel mixture so the exhaust heat doesn't kill you anymore. yes, i still feel heat, its an air cooled motor, of course there is gonna be some heat, but not searing.
