Ryan, my query was to the original post as to performance differentials with slip-ons. Given that Rhinehart, RCX , Cobra etc were mentioned, I was wondering if anyone noticed a change with the Street Cannons. Sorry.
Randy
i wouldn't worry about it. your question was germaine to the op, so i see nothing wrong with what you posted. matter of fact, it wasn't even the op (or a mod) who jumped you. i just didn't have any info to offer you.
Paragragh 1 in Jamies posted link is spot on. Reversion in large baffle mufflers kill TQ and are harder to get a good tune. DK's tti's are like an old school lollipop used for the same reason. I thought I would get a good bump in tq and hp after installing TW21'S, Dresser duals on my 88. That didn't happen much until I went to Crusher Mellows (no longer made) and retuned which resolved the reversion issue. The mellows made all the difference in the world.
One can chase a particular exhaust tone by replacing the slip ons, and in effect lower performance

I was being a smartazz and having a little fun.
Slip ons with stock headers really don't matter one bit. Pick what you like/sounds good to you. Now if you have a good aftermarket header, your slip on does matter.
