this tragedy happened sat 7/14/07 i was just leaving work when the phone rang my wife said get to the hospital carl & patty went down. He is a forums member (roadking52). The story is that he came around a corner and there it was an oil slick, needless to say no helmets he went down pretty hard ,he suffered road rash to his face and other parts of his body, broken ribs, and cracked skull. She broke her arm and also road rash to parts of her body she ended up in better shape.While in there there was nothing to do but wait to see what the docs would say. So i left and went to the towing company to get his bike and bring it home this way here that was one less thing to worry about because he has a lot of extras on the bike and i didnt want them walking away if you know what i mean. The bike was not that bad that engine guard really did its job so i was able to leave my bike at the tow place and ride his home and then get a ride to get my bike. Anyway he is in the hospital recovering and doing well,his wife has to go to a specialist for her arm but she will also be ok. Whether he rides again or not is his choice i am just glad that they will recover because there good people and good friends. SO if some of you can maybe e- mail him i,m sure he will appreciate it like i said he is a forums member roadking52 thanks all for listing and ride safe KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!
