Sorry for the confusion guys. Have changed name to avoid any problems. My apologies original Big Dave!!
No apologies necessary and thank-you , Now re your bike , I get the impression that the bike starts and idles ok but problem is when the bike is warmed up so we are looking for something temp related ?
how many miles on the bike ,plugs , wires fretting at the throttle body are a couple of thoughts

Bike starts and runs fine other than at idle. It's not temp related IMHO. Bike is 16 K miles. Plugs, wires etc good. No issue with wiring around throttle body. I will try some of the suggestions offered and report back. Cheers and thanks.
Not bad gas, ran a few tanks thru it as I was on a long ride. Bike ran perfectly except for at idle. Plug wires ok. I'll get into the codes tomorrow and see what's being thrown. Let you guys know.
Everything that has been suggested has drawn a blank. Only code thrown is the common 1475 exhaust actuator. I think it may be a faulty MAP or TPS. Has anyone ever experienced a fault with these? Any other suggestions on what could be the issue?

Just for curiosity sake , pull your crank case sensor and give it a good cleaning , I have heard that they can give false readings when they get gummed up , cleaning it may improve idle . It's right beside the oil filter and is easy to get to and should only take a minute to do . I may be wrong , but it only takes a minute .
Since I'm not familiar with the Rushmore , I'm wondering if it has the little port inside the throttle body . When you say it's clean , did you spray carb cleaner into that port to get dirt and crud out ? You could be correct on the faulty IAC .
Have you done a fuel pressure test ? Although , if it were a bad fuel line inside the tank , I would think you would feel it while you were riding and at wot .
I might be mistaken, but I don't believe there is an IACV on anything newer than somewhere around 06 or 07. There is an inlet air temp sensor that might be all sludged up with blow by oil and cleaning that wouldn't hurt anytime. A couple of free things to try since nothing else has worked, cycle the ignition (with the run switch ON) slowly 4 times. Some wait for the fuel pump to stop each time, but a little more rapid than that has worked for me. That resets the idle reference in the computer if it has gotten messed up from holding the front brake at shut down. Frequently that rolls the throttle slightly forward and that messes up the idle reference. The other, disconnect and reconnect the fuel line quick disconnect on the bottom of the gas tank. On rare occasions, the check valve partially or fully closes off the fuel flow and reconnecting the fuel line seems to correct that. If none of this works either, sounds like a trip to the shop for some professional trouble shooting. I don't know how to test the engine temp sensor or the crank shaft position sensor that also might contribute to this.
