Loose Handlebars

The handlebars seem loose on my 00 EG Classic. With a bit of muscle I can move them down and then bring them back up. When I'm riding there is no problem, naturally, because I don't try to move them.
Question: Bring it to a HD dealer or use the service manual and do it myself?

Do it yourself and while you're in there change the Cheap HD OEM upper clamp!!!

Change your stock bushings for polyurethane bushings, like night and day, look here

Got a PN for a new upper clamp? I tried using the one that Wild1s recommends, but it didn't fit.

You can't read that under the cover, but was laying around the shop when I had my bars done, so he just threw it on. Mine slip, a bit, but I have an 18" rise bar. A one piece clamp works best. IMO.
