[:'(]The Road Glide looks faster than the Street Glide. No aero push.
I didn't even ride mine the salesman held the fairing so it was upright and I sat on it pulled my feet up. It just felt natural I had ridden a buddies GSXR "thats a crotch rocket" it did not feel comfortable. I let him ride mine he is begging his wife for one. I told him acceptance comes easier than permission. Then again I am single.
My 2 cents ! Doing the fairing conversion is only half of why the roadglide rules. I'll say it again , the spoked wheels let much more air pass through than the (near) solid "fatboy" like wheels. Next- the floor boards are full size not streamlined like the streetglide, also do not have that piece of chrome running down them increasing the slipperiness. Your wife will love the full passenger floorboards. And the height of the bike is an inch higher. Now, granted these are things that can be swapped out as well, but after you do the fairiing conversion and all of these other conversions, your bike being laid up, the time you put into it, well just trading up and goin wit an 08, with now even more reasons to love ( 6 gal tank, brembos, full dash ect ) is the obvious choice ! And yes the dual headlights light up the road waaay better, and the lights not going with the turn is B.S. !
Oh Please! I guess the Rocker C is just Dandy in your book? [:'(]What does a Harley look like? Sporty or Wide Glide, Windshield or none, Road King or Road Glide, Screamin Eagle whatever they made for the current year? Springer you say? or a soft tail that's supposed to look like a retro hard tail? Please do tell, enlighten us.
Keep in mind the tax saving when you trade at 6% on $14K that is another $840 that you would need to get if you sold it yourself. As far a which bike to buy, the reason I bought my EGC is a figured out that all of the changes I had planned for my Dyna was to convert it to a bagger, so what the Heck buy the bagger for me.
Well the more I thought about selling outright the less appealing it sounds. Besides the reason I stated before I have a lien with HD Credit. Most people don't want to have to deal with buying something and waiting on a title. I know if I am shelling out that kind of coin I want title in hand when I drive off.
