I know this is such a newb question but... How do I replace the battery in the fob for my 2019 CVO Street Glide? I have been able to separate the top and bottom half of the fob but I cannot see how to release the battery. I checked the owner's manual and it says the following.
Remove the battery (2) and discard.
Push the latch (3) away from the battery.
Lift the battery from the side opposite the latch.
I do not see the latch to which the manual is referring. I have also thoroughly searched the forums before asking. I was hoping not to have to ask.
As previously mentioned, it's not necessary to move the latch. That step has been eliminated from the 2019 Touring Models Owner's Manual, although the illustration still shows its location. Just lift the battery from the side opposite the latch.
Yes, youtube it. It's on there. There's a perfect video for that. Oh and change them once a year to prevent that.

Thank you for your replies. I truly appreciate them. With peace and love, I defy you to find one YouTube video that shows how to replace the battery on a CVO key fob. Prior to creating this thread, I searched YouTube, Google, and this entire forum. The thought of having to create this thread was embarrassing so I exhausted all possibilities before shaming myself.
I don't know if there is a difference between the '14 and '19 fobs, but for my '14, I used the instructions listed above and it worked perfectly. I don't think it took me more than 30 seconds to accomplish this task. It was harder to open the battery package than opening the fob and replacing the battery.

The instructions listed above are different that what are in the 2019 owner's manual. The 2019 owner's manual mentions a latch that has to be 'pushed away' before removing the battery. I could not find the latch in my fob and did not want to risk braking it before confirming the proper method. The CVO fobs are ridiculously expensive and I just wanted to make sure before rushing in.
I was able to do it quite easily when after Steve N said that there is no latch.
My wife during dinner last night says that we need to go to the dealership with her car. I asked what was wrong. She says the car will not start (keyless entry and start), unless she puts the fob right next to the start button. I laughed and said the fob battery is dying. So I switched fobs with her after dinner and she is getting replacement batteries for hers and mine today. Its the same as in the HD fobs.
