How do you get that to work? I have read many posts of audio not going over the BT link from Google maps.
I have a Samsung 'phone.
I have a samsung phone and everything from my phone comes over my sena 20 BT connection. There are settings, and there is a priority of what over rides what.
It might be a phone setting. On google maps there is a setting for audio over BT. So you can have your phone paired with you car, for example, and the nav audio comes out of the phone speaker not the car radio.
edit: When I use my Sena with my phone, listening to music with google maps running a route, the music volume lowers and the nav instructions are given then the music comes back up. Just like in my F150.

If one were to purchase the Cardo units, and at a later date add the CB to the factory radio .. Could the Cardo unit be used for that while providing driver / passenger communication and being connected to a phone? Importance is in that order with little emphasis on the phone.
another +1 here for two bikes, SENA 20S EVO and Boom! Audio 20S EVO headsets, Freewire and a ton of research to get me to my working solution.
hey ELo feel free to ask any additional questions, if they haven't already been answered

hey r0de_runr can i ask you a question: your Samsung... can your Boom! Navigate to addresses stored in the phone? and if so, how are you connecting that phone USB or BT?
I use a Google Pixel 2XL via BT, which all my contacts have addresses. The Boom can see the names and phone numbers but NOT the addresses (so I have to manually read out and enter if I want to Boom navigate to their home)
find it crazy that I can't get full contact card access via the Boom navigation

before I got the Glide with all the gizmos, I ran a pair of JLAB Audio Epic2 bluetooth buds when out on my FXR or chop. Worked fine with droid in pocket and earphones BT to phone. Only used it for turn-by-turn
...as another poster said, anything from my paired PIxel 2XL to SENA 20S EVO also works fine these days.
The only fun and games came along when the Street Glide did! (thats Boom! Infotainment system for ya) ...but thanks to SENA Freewire I have that figured out to
YMMV

The SGS is a stripped down Touring bike . It does not come with everything. Just like the the basic model of a car and the one of your dreams. Lot of cheaper ways to do it.
I just bought a Cardo Freecom 2+. It has Bluetooth for rider to rider communication, FM radio and cellphone/music communication. You can just use your phones Waze/Google/Apple maps, or your other preferred GPS. Just $207 for a pair of headsets, and it's rated very high.
Do you self a favor and save a lot of headache. Buy yourself a set of Cardo PackTalk Bold headsets for your and your wife. They are on sale right now at Cycle Gear. You don't need a WHIM, FreeWire, or anything else except for a USB cable to plug your phone into your bike. Have your dealer hookup your radio to Digitial Tech and disable the microphone in the CarPlay settings. Plug your iPhone into your bike's USB port, pair your iPhone to your PackTalk Bold - have your wife pair her phone to her PackTalk Bold as well, pair your PackTalk Bold devices together in DMC mode - much, much more clear than Bluetooth mode. Here is a link in another thread that I started that providers much greater detail and step by step instructions.
