I am thinking of getting a Road King Special. I dont care the infotainment system or mirror placement but I do like the gauges being at eye level. Anyone know where/if you can get this type of setup? Alot of what Im seeing radio/speaker setups.
Some use a batwing for a Shovelhead, putting gauges would be a big issue. If I was to do that to my 19 RK id be happy with a minimal quick detach empty shovel style fairing.
best of luck to you.

Have you looked at the Electra Glide Standard ? That has the fairing you want without all the extras.
You could get a plain-Jane fairing. Reckless Motorcycle and Dead Center Cycles makes them for the Road King. As far as gauges, you could always install a phone or mini iPad and use an app like RPMitUp here.
You just need an WiFi/Bluetooth ODB II unit to attach to the data port.

This was my original plan and reached out to a few places I found that made then in the past without luck. But I will give this a look.

Yup. I did consider the standard but want a blacked out bike. Might be better off going with a street glide special and taking out or covering up the infotainment screen. Sucks paying for so much extra for stuff I dont want. Id get much more use out of a glove box and Iphone.
Im using a FXDLS tach mounted on the bars and am waiting to buy a new speedo to mount up there. Maybe use a FatBob speedo since it has the tach built in. Then a harness from Guerrilla Cables. Then all the info will be in line of sight.
