Default Clearview windshield

Has anybody tried a Clearview recurve windshield ? ? ? are they any better than the OEM type for an EGC.

I swear by mine in the rain or shine -- much better protection for both myself and passenger for the same height shield. --- Tom

Tcfamy, I was thinking about going with a 6 or 8" but yours looks taller than that- do you look over your clear one or through it with regular riding?

I got mine ( for my '03 Road Glide) this year just before an 1,800 mile trip with 15 other couples to the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. The recurve was a great investment and really works. I hate looking through windshields but also hate the wind buffering you get with a short one so the recurve allowed me to look about 2 inches of the top of the windshield but the recurve kept my helmet from bouncing all around.

Although it does take a long time to get the Clearview windshields, the company really came through for me when they had a "glitch" in production and it looked like they were not going to be able to get it to me by the time we left. They ended upfinishing it,shipping it overnight and I got it the day before we left. Thanks to Clearview for all their help and a great product!!

If you're interested in viewing some photos of the trip ... you can find them on our website at:

Thanks .. I'm the webmaster and try to keep it current especially with photos from our different rides and events.

Yes, those were taken at Jay's 2 warehouses full of cars and motorcycles near the Burbank Airport in the Los Angeles area. Wewere invited by Jay to visit his personal collection but he didn't know if he would be there but as it turned out .. not only was he there, he personally gave us a 2 hour tour of his stuff.Jay is a verypro-law enforcement celebrity, a Harley Rider (among his 80 other bikes) and a great guy .. ( one of the few in show business ).

Love mine, one of the best things I've bought for my Glide so far, and lowers just are icing on the cake!
