The correct height of a shield will decrease buffeting on the upper body/head thus helps with stability....others will chime in with their views.....

Yes, I bought mine 10 years ago from their shop in Mitchell and love it. They installed it on my bike and sent me on a ride, that's all it took. Mine feels it's planted solid on the road.

I believe any KW authorized dealer has a "test drive" program where you can try different heights to find the one best suited to you.

They say they add a lot of down force to the front which provides stability.
I havent personally noticed it, and not sure most would, but they are high quality.

Having used one for the past 2 years I have to add that at highway speeds there is a chance for a lot of buffeting to the side of the head. That cut-in curve causes down-force yes, but it also directs the wind inward.
Its a good looking shield but I had had enough of not hearing the high-dollar under powered factory stereo and having my ears blasted by that constant rush of wind. Its also thin and vibrated more than a shield should.
I replaced it with a Freedom Touring shield and all was made right!

I installed a 14” sport flair on my ‘17 RGS two years ago. That windshield has almost eliminated head on buffeting (especially of the 18 wheel variety). I think this adds to my ability to ride more confidently at higher speeds so my answer is, Yes!

Take a look at Freedom Shields. Relatively thee same style, but they have a sport and touring versions in various heights. The touring version is wider than the sport and the material thickness is a huge difference.

The Freedom is thick and clear as glass with no distortion when looking through the curves of the shield. They also come in 3 or 4 tint options as well.
