Default 2020 FLHR Transmission issues
Noisier and rougher shifting that I’m used to. Also failure to downshift. Anyone have input?

And, did you buy that one new or was it already broken in when you bought it? What noise are you describing, gear whine (there shouldn't be much) or clunky noise when shifting? ANYTHING that makes you uncomfortable should get a dealer ticket written so you have it in writing that you didn't ignore a possible problem until it became a big expensive problem, so they can't say, why didn't you bring it back sooner?

Most trans when new are clunky, choppy, and hard to get into neutral; however, failure to down shift can mean your clutch is not fully opening which could be a faulty slave cylinder or air in the line...

Bottom line, have it checked out by a professional.
