because of the less than satisfactory response that i got from dunlop on a similar issue with an american elite rear tire, i decided to respond with my wallet. whenever i need new tires, avon cobra chrome it is for me. i had them on my cvo and was very impressed with the performance and handling. unfortunately, bike got totaled before i could really gauge the longevity from them, but even still. i'll go with replacing them more often if i have to. i am not going to give my money to a company that doesn't gaf about me. (says the man with an hd, lol.....)

Regarding the AEs I like the way they handled. But, they cupped bad enough to created front end wobble after 6,000 miles. Now Im running C2s and happy with them. Although they ride coarser than the AES. . , itll be c3s next change,
I guess I was a little ahead of curve on this one, not usually the case with me. I put them on about a month ago, but haven't ridden enough since then for a decent evaluation. I also put on metal valve stems and added the FOBO TPMS. I put these on my wife's Sporty which already has metal valve stems to try them out, decided I liked them, then put them on mine.
I had them ordered from my local dealer at winter discounted rate, but one of tires (can't remember which) wound up on backorder. I had put a deposit down and wound up getting a refund on that, then when I showed them from my phone that Revzilla had tires in stock the service manager took over and found me a set from a vendor they don't normally use, ironically at the KTM shop next door. It would have been nice if they would have done that from the get-go, but I guess when you have minimum wage SAs at the counter that's what your get.
They're so scarce I just had an order cancelled. Anyone with inside info know when they might make another run? Lots of calls yielded no results. J&P shows them in stock, so I placed an order a few minutes ago, but since they were bought out by Cycle Gear I don't have high hopes. Cycle Gear showed them in stock, but when they went to fill my order the rear was nowhere to be found. I wonder if they share the same inventory system......
I went to local bike shop and he ordered them last week had in a day from his distributor.
Here is an American Elite that the company rep said was my fault. Commanders will be the shoes of choice

What do you think caused this issue? What was the date the pic was taken and the production date of the tire?

Thanks you for posting this, they did have them, and the rear I ordered through them arrived today.
