You can put 12 inch on with no problem at all. You can even do 14 if your willing to take tank off and mangle up so plastic to allow more cable to come I did 12 inch on my bike and it was easy no wire extensions just flipped wires back. Look great and feel great
These stock bars are killing my back between my shoulders on cross country travels. Any recommendations as to heights, types, brand, that are an easy change over without all the hassle I read about with wiring and such would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
I had KW +2 sweepers on my 08 and am installing 2+2 sweepers on someones 2012. Decent bar at decent price to help with negating the wheelbarrow hand position of the stock bars. I use the H-D 38649-08A clutch cable though, which is also decently priced.
I just did the KromeWerks 2+2 on my 08 for the same reason. Had to reroute the clutch cable because it was to tight. But all the other stuff had enough play. Love the new bars. Even had to move my driver backrest back all the way. Probably going to replace the clutch cable so I can run it back thru the batwing.

I am 5'10 and put 14inch Burleigh Highball Bars on my Road Glide (http://www.burleighbars.com.au/harle...andlebars.html) . No need to extend the cables for 14inch bars (generally only). It has made riding much more comfortable.
I could of gone 16inch bars but it would of made U-turns a little harder to perform but still do-able. It all comes down to your arm length and body proportions. I have long arms while some people at the same height as me have short arms.
Will a 2+2 KW bar require a longer hydraulic clutch line on a 2014 Limited?
Can't say positively but my line ran thru the batwing. I made it work by pulling it out of there and running it along the handle bars. That worked for a cable. I've never had a hydraulic one so don't know the layout. Also there are a couple different 2+2s. I got the narrow which is the same width as my stock just higher, Then the have the normal 2+2 and the wide. Wide is 2 in wider then my stock. So just depends if you want them wider or not. And yours is newer so not sure what your measurements are compared to mine.
