I guess I’m the oddball, I prefer the handling, with the tour pack on. I love how the extra weight makes it fall into turns effortlessly. Admittedly you do need to be much more careful around parking lots.

I use my TP often enough that it rarely comes off. And I got rid of the QD mount as it kept loosening up and letting the pack bounce. And I can take it off/put it on nearly as fast with the stock mount.

The only other point is that it seems to catch cross winds a bit more...which is to be expected. Not a big deal most of the time, but noticeable in the corners.

Not sure as to the weight when full but it does make a difference when removed. I have a quick-detach and prefer it off. Only use on long trips

I recommend having the quick release brackets. I can take mine off or load it on in about 2 minutes.
BTW, I love not having the tour pak on...

I bought all the mounting pieces to make the tour pak removable, but what should I be doing with the tour pak connectors. Already have CB/Antenna in fairing, and have CIRO filler light for turns.
Hyperflash is the biggest concern...
Help please

I honestly don't really notice much if any difference.
