I would like to get some opinions on what fuel pack to run. FP3 appeals to me because it will not require a dyno. Opinions are welcome for others but I would like to know the “why.” Thanks in advance!!
Just my experience the FP3 worked excellent with a Stage 1 but if your going past that get a better Tuner. That is unless you can find a Dyno operator that will tune with the FP3.
I use the FP3 , have for the past couple of years . It's an awesome little gadget if you only do a stage 1 . They do have maps for stage 2 set ups as well , but I have no opinion on it yet , have a set of 48H cams sitting on my bench waiting to go in , so will see .
The power vision will do everything you need , including all the stage set ups . Seems to be the top choice here .
Not sure why people keep saying FP3 is primary just a stock or Stage 1 tuner. That might be a holdover from previous iterations of the FP3. I have a cam in my 2019 Electra Glide with aftermarket mufflers. A V&H tech created a custom map for me in about 5 minutes and it absolutely slays.
I'm in WI, the same state as Fuel Moto. On a previous bike I had them do a Stage 1 with Powervision and a dyno in their shop. That was great, too.
You can go either route and get great results, but you'll have more end-user configuration available with the FP3. Throttle progressivity, etc. I've had the FP3 on two bikes now and I've been thrilled with it.
Yes I've also had the FP3 on 2 different bikes with the second 1 a custom tune from V&H and they likely can work on a stage 2 but never worked for me with a S&S 475 cam.

I am also confused by this, stage 3 here with no issue, thing is a beast.
Well , I gotta say that I'm feeling reassured now , knowing that it's working fine for others . There are a lot of threads on this topic , more or less saying it's rather difficult to get a good tune . I guess it's a matter of getting the right map to begin with , just have to get the proper tools to put my cams in and see what happens .
