All H-D maps through NaviExtras are exactly 2 years old when they are released. They just released a version in January and they are as current as 2018. This is not speculation, it comes directly from the 'Navigation Team' at H-D.

GPS units are so inexpensive now because no one buys them. Just about every vehicle rolling off the assembly line today has built in GPS. If not, there are many great GPS apps you can download to your smart phone. By the way, you can download your route to your phone while at home on your WiFi so you are not using your cellular data while on the road.
