Sounds like the cam grind is causing a loping that could be mistaken for a miss. When I first put the Andrews 48H cams in my bike, going across a parking lot in a low gear around 2000 rpms the bike would jump and jerk around due probably to too much cam at too low of a load. Later I had some intake port work done along with a performance angle valve grind and have not had the issue since, at least not as much. Big cams, or anything bigger than stock will create certain rideability differences at certain rpms.
Bought mine used. Cam???? It might have them because it pulls a lot harder than my 01 RK. It still has the stock air cleaner, I would think you would upgrade the air intake before cams, but they could have kept it and put the old one back on before trading . Checked the breather tubes and they look OK. I don't see how they could cause the problem. They are just crankcase vents that dumps any gases out inside the air cleaner to be sucked into the engine. I might try running without the air cleaner just to see what happens. My vent tubes are different than the ones shown above.
Yes my breather tubes look new also. Just dropped it off at the repair shop. He's going to check fuel pressure first then put in a spare set of injectors he has to try that and just start eliminating things one at a time. He has had his repair shop for over 25 years and is a one man shop so will see. I made a list of suggestions from you guys and he said great keep them coming he don't turn other ideas.
I recently read an article on the MAP sensor and it's function on the HD engines. It monitors the flow and absolute pressure in the intake manifold and will send a signal to the ECM to adjust the timing dependent on a load or no load on the engine. We're all aware, okay most of us, of the oil vapors be drawn back through the intake manifold to be burned in the combustion chamber, and most of us know about cleaning the AIC valve to get rid of oil build up in the throttle bore. For giggles and grins I would pull the MAP sensor, check for oil deposits, and using MAP sensor cleaner clean the sensor and the the port on the sensor, also use contact cleaner on the connection. Why didn't it kick a code? Well it's still working maybe not completely properly but it hasn't failed. Just a random thought.
Have cleaned the map sensor and all connectors around the throttle body. Even used a bore scope to look at the intake valves for carbon buildup. No codes! I hate to keep throwing parts (money) at it. I'm thinking it might have cams in it. It pulls so much harder than my last 01 FI Road King.

I haven't heard from the shop where the bikes at. We stopped by last Friday and he was very busy said he would get to it this week. We did check a few things while I was there no intake leak, Fuel pressure good at 65 lbs, Plugs look good, He is going to pull things off his bike that he knows are good and he has the same bike and try them on mine like plug wires , coil , and injectors. Which is great at saving me money said if he finds it then he will order new parts for mine. I will run the map sensor by him. Thanks for the info and we will find it some how.
