Default No throttle after minor change

2018 Road King, I had to swap out the riser bushings and install a 1 piece clamp... I only unplugged the headlight to do this, nothing else.. I taped the bars to the windshield to keep them in place while I was making the change.

Got it back together, started fine and idles, but throttle is unresponsive. Pretty sure I probably pulled something loose maneuvering the wiring around the new 1 piece clamp, so I'm going to pull it apart again today and check everything. I've done bars a dozen times, though, and this never happened.

I might have exacerbated an existing problem, I've a check engine light on for a while and the bike wouldn't start if bars were turned all the way to the right (which tells me issue is on throttle side) . Took a hard fall during practice and then that started.

thought I'd ask if there's something I haven't thought of. Gonna check plug at the throttle
body, the TGS lines (there's no green plug) and mostly focusing on where the wires exit the bars, as thats what I was messing with yesterday.

Seems like you’re on the right track. I’d also suggest that since you’ve had the CEL when bars turned, pull the codes and it might give you a sense of where to look.

Probably a solder that broke apart inside the bar , check your connections in the bucket as well , should be an easy find ... Good luck !

I had same thing happen after installing cruise control on 2017 Fat Boy. The plug for TBW had backed out just enough under the tank that it had no response.

i dont have any connections inside the bars; it's a full-length TGS assembly. Everything connects outside of them.

Did you replace the TGS? OEM has a connector in the bars. The Sreamin Eagle replacement is a solid wire.

OEM only has that connector 14-16.(as far as I know) 17-up reverted back to the '13 CVO style that is one piece. My 18 has a 1 piece TGS.

Upon taking it apart, I smashed the TGS line in the underside of the clamp. It's shredded.
That'll do it 🤦‍♂️

thanks guys

Can you repair it or does it need to be replaced.
