Default Ultra Limted vs SGS

So I have been dead set on a '19-20 SGS but just caught a video about the Ultra limited and it seems to most basic things Id add to a SGS EXCEPT stretched bags and has a high stock seat height. Id end up having Mean city cycles do a seat to lower the seat height for either bike and remove the tour pack.
Lower fairings 704
Saddlebag guard 240
Heated Grips 209
Passing lamps 435+360
Handlebar mounted mirrors 50
Tour pack (Id convert to a QD and leave it off %99 of the time) $1000+

Not sure if I missed anything but assuming I can get a Ultra Limited for the right price any other differences I should consider? Currently seeing SGS for sub $25k with a '19 but haven't shopped the UL much yet. My other consideration is if I add this stuff it just turn into "preference" mods and wont be covered by statefarm (learned that on my totaled FLSS)

Appreciate your input.

If you are going to add all those extras to the SGS, I think you're better off going with the UL. I haven't crunched any numbers, but if you finance for four or five years, I don't think the difference between monthly payments would be all that much more.

For what it's worth: my buddy has a '14 SGS; I have a '14 Ultra. I love his bike, but have never wished I had it. On more than one occasion my buddy mentioned that the Ultra might have been a better choice for him.

MSRP (basic Vivid Black) for the Ultra Limited: $28,699 SGS: $27,699 so the UL is only $1000 more at list.
The UL gets the Twin Cooled 114, SGS gets the air cooled 114.
If you tour & ride with a passenger, the passenger will appreciate the foot boards on the UL as opposed to pegs on the SGS
and most certainly your passenger will appreciated the seat as opposed to the SGS seat. Buy a used SGS seat to use when riding solo...they're cheap.
You will also get the 13" shocks on the UL as opposed to 12" on the SGS. HD shocks are not the best, but I'd for sure want 13" rather than 12"...we tour quite a bit.
I have the TourPak quick disconnect and used it a few times early on. Don't think I've removed the TP in a couple of years...it's just too darn convenient!
There was another post here a while ago by a member set on a Road Glide Special. Dealer made him such a crazy good deal on a Road Glide Limited he couldn't say no.
Again, we ride 2-up probably 70% of the time. For me the Ultra Limited would be a no-brainer.

Thanks. Didnt know the UL was twin cooled. I will be riding mostly solo and short distances but would throw the tour pack on if needed. I honestly wouldn't mind the tourpack if it sat centered over the fender and as low as possible to still use the saddle bags.

Get the Solo TourPak Mounting Rack. It positions the TP forward...right behind the rider and you can use it instead of a back rest. You'd need a solo seat then as it won't work with a 2-up seat.

I just had the same decision to make but with the Roadglide model and went with the 107 model for a few reasons, first one was money, having full time lower fairings was another, you can’t take them off of the Ultra, and who wants to ride around in the heat with them things on, and last, the only time I would need that trunk is on road trips, I would much rather have something I can just remove and bring it into the hotel room with me. Either way they’re all good bikes and when your cruising down the road they’re all the same.

Just doing some reading up on the twin cooled and read about the lower fairing. I personally didnt like the look of them but its kind of growing on me but I might prefer the ability to remove them.

The lowers can’t be removed on the water cooled bikes.
