See my post in your turn signal thread.....check your fairing brackets and make sure they’re not broken. But, HD sells a cushion tape/seal that goes on the fairing, 58247-96 is the pn#
It sure is. I put in new nutserts last year. It’s just rubbing.
My brother has an FLHTP that had broken fairing brackets, so I know to check those when it’s opened up. They weren’t broken a month ago. This isn’t a new issue either though.
I am having the same issue on my 09 Ultra with the Freedom Shield's wide touring screen. You can readjust it all you want but eventually it will start making squeaking and popping noises when the bike hits bumps. I'm going to guess its from the weight of the thicker material used because none of my other shields have had this issue. I just loosen the 3 screws and readjust the glass every now and then. Do not over tighten the screws! Unhappiness will result.......Freedom shields are still the best quality screens in my opinion.
