Shoot I only know what I see around here. I was really interested in possibly upgrading but just keep bumping up against features it doesn't have that I have come to depend on. I've ridden in rain so hard that the fuel gauge fille up with water before. Folks I know call my bike the Rainmaker.
BikeTronics makes a sealed 7000 that is supposedly completely waterproof but I wonder how the touchscreen would work with that cover on it? I haven't seen one in real life to know.[/QUOTE]
i did see one video where the unit was wrapped in some form of rigid plastic looking stuff that has waterproof tape at all the corners and was sealed off. it strikes me that this would eliminate any of the internal venting that would have been built into the system. there was also a magnetic front cover, but it wasn't hinged so if i need the touch screen while riding, where would that go...and how.
i still hope that people stay upset with the Harley units and put these in their bikes. i bought a 6.5 gt head unit for $390 off the classifieds for my eglide standard and eventually want to uprade to the GTS so i need these people changing them out.
