I'm wondering if anyone is running this and has input?
I see a few threads but they are mostly older..it almost looks like the changed design a bit in the last couple years as some are saying they sit lower and some say higher.
Also some pictures I see the passenger pilon is recessed to allow easy access to bags...but some don't have that.
Currently running stock 19 sg seat and its killing my tailbone with no support. any input on the saddleman is appreciated. Thanks
I have already ordered. Just a week out.

I just bought one. I got the heated LS without the drivers backrest. Dennis Kirk has them in stock with same day shipping. I went to a shop that had demo seats and went for a short ride Monday. I did not get enough ride time to know much but I liked it enough to buy one.
I am 5'9" so not very tall but I like roomy. I ended up trying the standard and the 2" extended. Hands down I liked the feel of the extended much better. I like sitting back, not forward, the extended is roomier.
I will put about 1000 miles on it this weekend. The color is a lighter dull black. I am going to treat it with Lexol Vinylex to get it darker.
My first impression when I sat on the seat is the thing is hard as a rock. Seems firm is better if you ride 500 plus mile days.
I have a 2020 Road Glide Special. The stock seat was ok for me but not my wife. I tried the ugly Sundowner and it was great for her but gave me back pain in 50 miles.
The Road Sofa has a big lumbar area and will not let you slouch back. I don't see any need for a drivers backrest.

I have it on my 18 road glide and love it. Stock seat is pretty cheap and when you compare the fit and finish to the road sofa the differences become more apparent. I was dealing with back pain and such with the stock. Changing my handlebars (chizeled lo) and seat helped a great deal.
IMHO the road sofa is a bit firmer, but I like firm seats, couches and bed. Will take some time to break in.
GF isn't a big fan when we're riding 2 up, but we don't ride 2 up a ton (maybe 5% of my ride time). I think it is too firm for her.
IMHO an awesome seat and looks great (I ordered with blue stitching).

Where is the matching blue stitch backrest??? I hope my wife likes it. The main reason i bought a seat is for her. i was fine with the stock seat. I read everywhere that the Road sofa is super comfy for passengers.

Thanks for this thread, I've been seat shopping, but have yet to make a purchase.
I need a extended reach seat, my new to me 2015 stock seat, has me sitting on the fuel tank.
I keep hearing the Saddleman moves ya back, which is what I want, but I'm not sure I want a really hard seat.
I have a Corbin on my '04 and it's hard as a board, and it bothers my hips after a couple hours.
The Mustang Super Deluxe looks wide and plush enough for me, but I hear it doesn't move ya back as far and the LePera Daddy Long Legs I hear is a hard seat also.
I'm leaning towards the Saddleman, but in the Carbon Fiber stitch.
