Custom Dynamics Rear Lighting Completed
I did everything in smoke so that everything is blacked out which is what I wanted to go with for this bike. I do think the red would have looked good as well with the black but I think this adds a little more custom and stealth look.
Here's what I added:
Sequential bag lights
Fascia lights
lower tri-bar light
tail light
rear signal eliminator kit with illuminated license plate holder.
Triple play wiring harness
I didn't like the round tail lights so much and since my bike is a canadian version, I didn't have 1157 bulbs and couldn't have the dual red ring lights from custom dynamics. I think the bike looks cleaner without them though.
I added the triple play since it has some strobing when braking. To be honest, most of the preset strobes are too much flashing. There is only one or two that I would ever consider using. really, I just wanted a quick 2 second strobe and then solid light. The one i chose strobes for a couple seconds, then goes solid for a couple seconds, then strobe again and then holds solid. I settled on that. I don't want to look like a rolling circus haha but I do want to add a touch of safety.
The bag lights didn't work when put after the triple play (to have them strobe with everything) so I have to reach out to custom dynamics again get that corrected. I believe when I first talked to them they said that if I wanted to add it to the strobe, I need to do on splice, which will be easy. The license plate from LED did require a couple crimps to splice into the taillight harness, but that was easy as well. Everything else is plug and play. The longest part was double and triple checking the alignment of everything before sticking it on.
I did have to remove the stock reflectors which I was going to do anyways. I used some dental floss to get them off, then tried to remove as much of the foam tape with my fingers then goo gone for the rest. It left some slightly noticeable scuffs on the paint from the rubbing but I figured that was to be expected because it's black. I used Meguiars ultimate compound which worked well. I liked it since it was easy to apply with just a microfiber cloth by hand so it was really quick.
I don't have great photos to show what they look like with the lights off so i'll try to take some other later and maybe a video of the sequential lights
Let me know what you guys think.
Cheers

I'm looking to swap the tail light out on my Ultra and add Custom Dynamics Fillerz too............trying to decide on sticking with Red or going with the Smoked version.
My concern is that the lights on the tour pack will remain red of course, and wondering if there is a significant difference in the look between the stock red tour pack lights and the smoke tail light and fillerz..
Anyone gone with Smoke on an Ultra? Happy with the look or would you recommend just stick with the red replacements to match the tour pack?
thx
