Hey everyone, my 2020 Road Glide is my first bike where I have thought about changing bars and I am wondering what the general opinion is here about the cheap bars you can get on eBay (example attached).
These look to be pretty similar to KST straight jackets for a fraction of the price. I have not generally shied away from using 3rd party stuff, my tour Pak, my saddlebag guards, etc are eBay and the quality for the most part has been acceptable.
So the question is has anyone here done eBay special bars and if so what is your overall take on them? Are they functional? Are their any safety concerns?
It's a lot easier for me to stomach trying different styles at $80 than $400.
We fitted a set of el-cheapo bars onto a mates Black Line once; the quality was ok in terms of fitment, but burs inside made threading the cables a PITA. Also we had to rub down the finishing on the throttle side to get it moving freely.
