At the first of the year I put a set of 944s on my 01 RK and they seemed ok at first but quickly the ride got bad, I was feeling every bump, it road like a hard tail.
I contacted Progressive and they said I had to ship them the shocks and it would be 4-6 weeks. I got them back in 4 weeks and they ride great. By the looks of them I think one was bad and got serviced but Im not sure. When I got them back the receipt just said repaired.
What got me thinking is when I was checking out reviews most loved them and a few hated them. I just wonder how many may have gotten defective shocks.
I thought I was screwed out of 600.00+. I am happy that everything is good now but I wasnt happy about the 40.00 shipping and the 4 week wait. The shocks were marked so I know they werent replacements.
Again, with most people liking them and a few not maybe Progressive has an issue with quality control or final inspections.
Shocks bad out of the box. I have a set of legend revo a came defective out of the box. Emailed legend they sent me a new set. All is good now. Moral of the story is if it Don't seem right check it.
