I had my Road King built up to a 107 with head work and all the other performance upgrades with the exception of the exhaust. I am currently running a Fuel Moto header and Rinehart 4" mufflers. I am not complaining about the overall numbers as I am currently sitting at 126tq/116hp.
The builder tuner tells me that they can get more low end and mid-range with a 2:1 with them pushing the D&D. The setup I have now is pretty loud as it is. I really don't want to get much louder that it is today. I have ridden with guys running the fat cat and it is way too loud to me. The vortex baffle in the billet cat is supposed to be quieter than the fat cat.
For those running a Billet Cat on a built motor how much louder do you guess it will get going to the 2:1 from the 2:1:2 I am currently running?
I used a Billet Cat with vortex on a stout 103 TC and then with a built up 110 TC that worked really well. Not familiar with your current exhaust however IMO D&D’s 2-1 work well, they are loud and have a sound that either you like or don’t.
