Default glide air deflectors

Has anyone used or is using this product, https://www.glideairdeflectorsystem.com on their bike. I now have H-D fangs and was wondering if these would stop head buffeting almost as much as the fangs. It looks these will give more cooling air than the fangs to the engine because they're not as long.

The reason that I like the HD fangs, is they also calm the front end down at 20mph plus, just like if you installed a steering dampener.

So there are ways to keep the wind from coming up under the shield to solve the buffeting problems, but then you start adding on other items to get back the front end dampening effect that the HD fangs offered in the first place.

Plus, I ride a RK that has enough chrome on it to blind every rider around me when the sun hits it right (teach them for not wearing darker glasses), and adding on more HD marked chrome parts, is just par for the course. Hence it kind of like changing out the stock shifter linkage that we claim is due to the stock pivot design is weak and will leave you standard when it breaks, but in the end, end up going with the biggest HD Chrome one that you can get to just throw more chrome on the bike.
And trust me, no one needs chromed fork lowers, but they do tend up end up on the bikes as well.

As for back to the HD fangs, it not that they reduce the motor cooling since you still have plenty down the middle of the frame/motor from the front end, it just that they push the air that would be cooling the hot air off the motor, out farther to the sides of the bike isntead. So the problem really, is the hot air off the motor that is not being cooled off more before it hits you, and now just need to redirect the hot air down and out that is coming off the back plate of the mid frame, so it not directed back up into the shield void area as well.

Just put a set of glide on my ultra, in combo with the HD deflector that bolts to the bottom triple tree it made a noticeable positive improvement.

Im running the air deflectors (where the fangs would mount) and the half ashtray ( bottom of fork) on my 05 EG. I havnt noticed a huge difference with them, a little less turbulence in the 25-45 MPH range, but no real change at 45 and above. (in all fairness, I really think I have a helmet or windshield issue) I keep them on because I absolutely HATE the way fangs look and figure a little improvement is better than none. On the plus side, their prices are great and they ship super fast, so even if you dont like them you are only out a few bucks.

Do you have a picture of them mounted on the bike?

They attach at the front tank bolt, and while nice it theory, they are too small and should be larger to really work well, when used along with the dog dish between the forks it is a fair combination of air control.

Like slingshot383 said, they're fair air control. Look just like the pic on glides site. Before the glides my left inner thigh would cook on hot 90f+ days. Now my right gets a little warm as well, however if the 'shutters' in the lower pods are open it's fine once you're moving. Never going to have still air in the riders area, I'm just trying to reduce noise a bit and reduce getting whipped by my beard. (facial hair, not woman)

I think, and will find out, over the winter; that modding my seat a half to inch lower, and a inch back is going to solve my residual turbulence issues. Time and $$ will tell.

The thing that made the most difference in buffeting to me was a recurve windshield from Long Ride Shields. The dog dish helped stop a little bit of the wind coming up from below, but I only leave it on in the winter time. Gets too hot in the summer with it in place.
