due to lack of sleep right now i am not really understanding the mounting procedure of this pack.
this might be what i am looking for.
i have a passanger backrest right now, does this use the backrest bar in place?
I got the pearl black Mutazu trunk for my bike... I was/am on a budget. It works fine for what I need. Wife has leaned against it for lots of miles with no ill effects. It does rattle a little, but someone posted a cheap fix for that. I have been thru rain and no leaks. It holds a lot. Color match was pretty good.
For the $, its a good value. I expect to get many years out of it. someday i may replace it with a HD tourpack, but who knows, no more than I use it, it may last me forever. I mounted mine on the HD quick release tourpack rack. I added some additional bracing to stiffen the whole works up.
Bulldog: The mounting is straight forward; same as a King, Chopped, or other touring model box from HD with the exception of the aforementioned drilling of five holes in the Matuza box.
The two-up detachable rack uses a different hardware set attached to the bike to mount the detachable rack than your sissybar; unless, you elect the solo detachable rack for the box which does use the same mounting hardware that your detachable sissbar attaches to.
In addition to the box, you buy the two-up or solo detachable rack, and, if you choose the two-up rack, you also buy the hardware for mounting the two-up rack. Check pages 412 and 414of the '08 HD Parts& Accessories catalog.
If you have atwo-up detachable luggage rack, the mounting hardware is the same as that needed for the two-up detachable tour pak rack.
