Searched out check Engine light in the search bar. Went to page 4 before anything about engine light came up but I found a thread that was from fuelmotousa.com and it had instructions on how to check the trouble. So I followed the directions
Followed until step 4 when they say "PSSPt" will start flashing. Well that didn't come up on mine. This did.
Well didn't see that in the instructions so I just pushed the speedo button again and this showed up. Don't know what that is but it is different than the first and all the others to d10clr.
Any ideas on if this has a meaning or am I not doing something right?
My indy shop says he doesnt have a reader and doesn't work on fuel injection. Really don't want to take it the dealership. And we have the weekend trip next Friday so I need to find out what the problem is.
We were riding Sunday afternoon and about 20 miles after fueling up the engine light came on so I pulled over as soon as I could safely do so. Bike was running fine and nothing seemed off at all. I checked the oil and was ok. A little less than full but not to add a quart. Didn't know what else to do so I turned around and went back home at a slower pace. Several hours later went outside to see if the light went out after cooling down. Fired up as usual and sounded normal but after about 5 seconds the light came back on so I shut it down.
Came inside and did a search. So here we are. Anybody got any advice?
Cripes you can jump 2 pins on the diagnostic connector and read the codes, and I have had the HD code reader for those bikes, they cost short money.
Sorry if you are an Indy working on 2014 or newer bikes and you don't have the software package (Snap On Solus v17.2 or newer with the HD vehicle darabase) it is time to close the doors.
The PN was 32312-10 , look for one used or ask your parts guy for the new PN
