Default 2015 Road glide vs 2017 M8

Im looking at getting a newer road glide and am on the fence between a 15 / 16 RG and a 17 / 18 M8. Price difference in my area is around 5k or more. From those who have had both, are the updates worth that much? Or would you go back and save the 5k, stay with a twin cam 103 and use the extra money for upgrades in bars, exhaust, audio etc.

Definitely the M8 Road Glide, went from a 103 RGU to a 17 RG. No problems with the M8 RG. Good luck!!

I'm considering adding a Road Glide to my garage in the not too distant future, I'd definitely go with a M8, esp. since I already have a twin cam...

I like the TC engine shake at idle. Reminds me of older Harleys. The M8 is a quicker engine stock but is kinda sterile and the balancer whine is a bit annoying. I have not had any problems with my M8 or TC. I'd go with which one I like the looks of better. But throw 5 grand into the engine of the TC and it will run better than the M8.

M8 is hands down better in every single way possible. I went from a 2016 RG to a 2019 RG and could not be happier. The power is night and day different at all speeds and rpm's and I have no where near the heat coming off the engine with the M8.

Ride them both and you will see.

Better yet get a ‘20 so you don’t have to worry about the oil pump or transfer issues that some experienced with ‘17 to early ‘19 models.
