Default D & D FatCat Question

How much heat do you get from this 2 into 1 system compared to say rineharttrue duels. This is for those of you that have had both systems. It seems a lot of people are changing systems and the look of the 2 into 1 is really starting to grow on me. It will be going on a 07 road glide. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I'm one of those who went from VH True Duals to a Fatcat 2-1. I took it off and put the duals back on. One of the reasons was the heat issue that came back, same as the stock crossover.

I am not a good judge as I heat wrapped the D & D's ( quiet ) under the healt shield. That being said, I notice more heat on my left thigh than my right. I can tell you there is a BIG difference in performance as I switch the dual RH's, . They are good pipes but I like the sound and especially the power from the Fat Cat and being in Houston the heat is not an issue, but I did wrap those rascals.

Had the Fat Cat on my 88" Street Glide. It did radiate alot more heat than the stock exhaust. But not as much as a stock 96" with stock exhaust. You can feel it. Just depends on your tolerance.

As far as performancegoes it depends on who you talk to about RH or D&D. Zippers says d & d have the smoothest torque curve but to the average rider there isn't areal noticabledifference between the two.My 07 w/thundermax still give off a lot of heatw/just v&h slipons.

I have the D&D, and although there is some heat (right inner thigh), it's really no big deal unless your riding in 100+ heat in stop and go traffic. Only place I notice it is at the lights, but it had never bothered me. Most of my riding is highway loops.

I'm with ya Phil.........must be above average.

Nothing performs like a 2-1 system, they are just plain better. They produce better power, better sound, and are very smooth.
