My Outcast Daddy Long Legs is on the bike, it's the right width and height for me, but at a hair under 6', I don't think I'm quite DDL material even though I have long arms and legs, I'm just so far back. I'm gonna ride it for a week and then send it back for the custom leather cover, but leaning toward the non DDL version right now but I'll know for sure once I put some miles on it. I have a sample of their bomber brown leather sitting on the seat, not sure if that's the right color yet, but I don't have to make that decision yet.
We had an 80° day here in SoCal over the weekend. The wife and I took a ride so she could check out the seat she bought me...
She gave it a thumbs up... She said it was firm compared to the current seat (Sundowner), but gave her good support and she found it comfortable..
So far so good.... now it just needs some mileage, and then a long trip test...
Did you get the vinyl covered seat ? If so how did it feel ?
I've been thinking of ordering leather , but I don't know if
it's worth spending the extra $300 - $400 . My current seat
is leather . While it is cooler , I'm not real happy with the
durability .
If you're torn between leather and vinyl, LePera is pretty good at combining the two materials. Seat face in vinyl and other areas in leather, if you like. I've had my leather LePera seat now for about 6 years and condition it 3 - 4 times a year and still looks great.

My wife bought me an out-of-the-box RT66 for Christmas....
It has the standard, vinyl cover. It's a good looking and well made seat.
I'm finding it firm, but comfortable... I need more seat time for a final thumbs up...
I too, would hesitate on paying an extra $300-$400 for a leather seat, if I wasn't already sure that the seat was "the one" for me.....
IMHO.... You'd be better off if you bought a regular RT66, used it for awhile and decided you liked it well enough, and the vinyl was lacking enough, to send it back and have a leather cover put on it.. You'd probably be better off in the long run, rather than trying to sell a used, leather RT66 that just wasn't the seat for you...
Good luck with your decision...

Hattitude I think your advice is spot on, one can always send the seat to Lepera for a custom cover once they know it's the right seat.
I actually sent my Outcast DDL back to Lepera yesterday, it's just a bit too far back for me, I'm thinking if I was 6' 2" or taller it would be perfect, but I was finding it very tough to actually put my back against the backrest and reach the bars easily. The width, comfort, and height were all great though, so I've committed to the standard Outcast with their BCH leather and gold brown stitching. It's $400 for the full leather, so not cheap. Looking forward to the finished product, it's been quite the journey!

When I installed the DDL seat on my RKC I found it was too much of a reach to the bars (it's always something, as Roseanne Rosanadanna used to say) so I had to get bars with more pullback.
I was planning on changing the bars anyway but the new seat made it essential. Good luck.
My little update: New 2020 RGL in the garage. I put the brand new Le Pera RT66 on it yesterday. Great looking seat. Very lean and attractive. So well made it's amazing. It weighs almost double the stock seat due to the steel seat pan. The bottom side of this thing shows the quality more than the top does. Then I hopped aboard....not so good for me initially. I'm sitting just a little lower (not good) and back (quite good) from stock. It feels like a board with about 2" of firm foam under my butt...rigid...and much firmer than any other seat I've tried. It's enough to worry me about keeping a $700 'maybe' seat. Can't ride due to weather and road conditions. Evaluation not yet complete.
