Default Trike conversions

My dad (65 years old) is in the market for his first bike and wants to go with a Harley trike conversion. If anyone has recomendations or does/don'ts I would appreciate the info. I'm just trying to educate myself at this point. If anyone could put me onto any reputable dealers or conversion companies in the Tennessee/ Alabama region that would also be much appreciated.

My name is MACK and I work at H.D. of Montgomery, Al. We do several trikes a year and use the Lehman kits. You can reach me at the dealership at 334) 277-2540 between 8-5. I think we could help you.

Lehman makes a nice conversion... Check out E-Bay as there's a few to look at there!

Check out The Trike Shop . Independent suspension, longer body than many, optional reverse.

Try to get one that lets the bike lean...the one's that hold the bike straight up through curves are hard to get use to.

FWIW, stick with a DOT certified kit... there is only 1... Lehman...

There is a reason that HD, Victory, Honda and Suzuki use the services of Lehman... Durability, ease of maintenance, ease of operation and overall quality...

I build Lehman conversions for a HD shop, and have serviced a few other brands of trike conversions.... Yes, they are bigger, and have the leaning suspension, but they just don't "Flow" with the bikes lines like a Lehman, or feel as solid and sturdy either... but that is my opinion only....

The best thing to do is to talk to several owners of trikes in your area, find out where they get the bikes serviced, how far or close is the approved facility to do Trike repairs (Body, Chassis, Add-ons).....

Not every HD shop services trikes, and if they do, it is "Normally" that brand that they are affiliated with... But that will change upon the release of the HD Factory conversion... Then EVERY H-D shop must service trikes, but only the HD/Lehman factory conversion...

I ride a Champion Trike conversion on a 05 EG works well. Google trikes and compare all the different companies there are a lot of pros and cons between the different manufactures pic the one that suits your needs.
