Fuel tank retainer locking ring tool

Default Fuel tank retainer locking ring tool
Does anyone know the inside Dia. of this tool ? I want to make one for future use. This is the tool used for removing the locking ring to access the fuel pump.

Not very helpful I dont think, but I purchased one on Amazon a few years ago. It's cheap and I decided I have better ways to spend my time. It's for 08-up, not sure what year yours is.

Not of the tool, but I do have a spare locking ring, that I could get and measure the outside diameter and tab to tab diameter if you want it. 2015 Limited tank

If u google “fuel filter cam ring removal tool” there’s a video by someone that made one .
Having said that, you don’t need one. That ring easily comes off using a screw driver gently tapped with a hammer. I originally looked for that tool and it ended up coming of without any issue. Reinstalled same way.

I've never serviced the fuel pump assy on mine ... On most fuel tanks I've serviced on cars I've used a blunt chisel that has done the trick ... a bit of patience and bingo

tang opening is .480 wide by .285 deep, every 90 degrees

a Lang 492 tool is about 35 dollars
