Detailing/Cleaning questions

Try'n to find out what people are using to clean and polish with. Also is there a certain amount of time you should wait until you wax (ie 6mo's?). Thanks

I don't know how long to wait, but this is the polish I like to use on my 10 yr old bike. Had my local NAPA dealer order it for me and now he sells alot of it.

Maguires cleaning wax
Turtle wax Ice.

Wax once a month or prior and post long road trip.

Bike Brite to clean - simply spray & rinse off.

Zymol for waxing - I use it about once a month or when I see the shine not shing as bright as I like.

Mothers Chrome Polish - use it when I use the zymol

Blow dry it with a Cycle Dry Motorcycle Blow Dryer ($40 on ebay - great value!)

Spot dry / clean with some good soft cloths from the local autozone

Use just about any leather protectant/cleaner on my leather bags (using an armorall product at present)

And finally - I my bike has its very own swiffer duster for using in between washes - when only a little dust is inhibiting all that shine! Of course, once in awhile, I just like to have a dirty bike...but whatever...
