Default Cleaning/detailing products?

What are you using for washing & waxing? I didn't know if they're all basically the same stuff or not. I know the MOCO is somewhat proud of their cleaning/waxing/detailing products.

Thanks!

I have used a lot of different stuff but the HD spray polish is my fav. The Honda spray polish has too much wax in it and it is harder to get a clear finish without streaks or smudges. The HD spray polish is faster to me.

Just a suggestion that you search or at least look in this forum for "detailing" section. That will get you a ton of opinions much more quickly than waiting for OPINIONS to trickle in this way.

Not being lazy, just trying to help get you OPINIONS a lot faster. But here is my OPINION anyway....dish soap removes wax and works good overall, if you don't want to start from scratch use any decent branded car wash soap. Use microfiber towels and mitt always. Then if you want to blow off a perfectly good day: dish detergent wash, clay bar paint, polish, then synthetic wax, glaze, followed by carnuba wax. Opinions on order vary...suggest you look at mercedes/bmw etc detailing. No need to go nuts on product prices (unlike mercedes/bmw sites) just good branded stuff at Wally World or car parts place. If you feel like riding just wash with car stuff, polish followed by wax...or just polish or just wax...or just wash and wipe dry...or wash and ride dry or just ride. On chrome pretty much anything not marked acid. Turtle is cheap and works as well/better than other fancier names.

You wasted a lot of time reading my OPINION when you could have already gotten the right answer by search or better part of forum read. John

S100 Total Cycle Cleaner works great to wash the bike with, then used a leaf blower to dry. To clean and polish the chrome Eagle 1 - Never Dull is by far the best product I have used. Mothers Chrome polish works good too but it doesn't clean the chrome as good as the Never Dull. Then just wax the painted parts with Meguiars Techwax 2.0. it goes on easy and comes off easy.

Harley's cleaning products are overpriced. I use regular car wash solution. S100 and BikeBrite are good for deep cleaning.

I dry using a JC Whitney Cycle Dryer.

Meguiar's and Mother's polishes work well. Turtle Wax Ice is a clear polish that's good for hiding swirl marks in dark colored paint.

-I use regular automotive soap for washing
-Bike Brite for small/tight spots on occasion
-Windex for the shield, headlights, and chrome sometimes
-My bike is black, scratches arise super easily, so I use a dedicated sponge and chamois that never touch the ground or dirt and are stored sealed after they dry
-I haven't waxed a motorcycle yet

Good luck!

When I wash I usually spray the engine with a little fantastic (or some equivalent cleaner), then hit that with a soft long bristle brush (silver engine is a pain to keep clean). I do the rest of the bike with a combination of soft brush and towel. I generally just use a standard auto soap.

To detail I use Maguires #26 "High tech yellow wax". Super easy to work with. Takes off minor marks and protects pretty well. If I want to get fancy I'll hit the tins with that Maguires NXT wax.

I generally try to use Maguires quick detailer (red bottle) spray and wipe on pretty much the whole bike. When I really want to make it sparkle like crazy I do a quick coat of lemon pledge on the tins. Shines like you wouldnt believe.
