Just did the other two holes - tranny and primary - both a piece of cake.
BUT, I may have over tightened the primary bolt and squished the O ring - got a small leak - about a drop a day.
Don't know why the service manual says to disconnect the battery (safety I guess) and also says to add oil to the primary through the clutch cover - which means removing the passenger footrest - I just added thru the chain inspection cover - seemed to work fine.
I did use a torque wrench, and still f*d up the oring. Either that, or the new one was bad to begin with (but probally not). I developed a small leak as well. Not more than a quarter size a day, but enough to bug me. I switched out the o ring, which meant all new fluid (I tried to keep from letting it drain, but was just to hard to get it done). I then added thread tape (I didn't have liquid thread locker, at the time) and torqued it down. Has not leaked since. FWIW.
