Hey all, considering a larger set of all billet aluminum floorboards for the '19 RGS. Would vibration fatigue be a concern on long distance riding? The stock boards obviously have some meaty padding and I wonder if they're designed that way for such a reason. I appreciate any insight. Thanks.

Yes.
The padding on most footboards have rubber feets to help isolate most of the vibrations. You could always remove the padding and take a long ride to find out. Easy to replace when your feet starts tingling 1/2 hour into the ride from the vibration.
EDIT: Forgot you mentioned you have a '19 bike. The M8 motors might not vibrate as much as the twins cams, so might not make much difference.

Reason: add'l
I'd say that could be a concern, also them being slippery can be a concern. I ran some all metal WCC boards which were bear trap style but the smooth aluminum top plate was always slipper as can be. Most all metal ones have knurling, or little botls sticking up to give you grip. Having done these types of mods on several bikes in teh past, I keep my boards stock nowadays as I learned it was more spent for less benefit aside from looks in my opinion. I guess you could say I'm more of a practical mod guy nowadays. Why spend $500 on something that looks nicer but doesn't provide the same functionality.
I never had an issue with excessive vibration and put lots of miles on those boards.

May I ask why you are considering all metal floorboards? Is there any type of advantage to having all metal floorboards or is it that you like the aesthetics?

Im considering a larger, billet aluminum set. They do look great also but functionality is priority. They have a larger surface area for more foot room. I don't do highway pegs because I like to be close to the controls, so more room to adjust on long rides suits me better.

If the boards are longer than stock, you may end up needing a kickstand (jiffy) extension. My friend bought some longer all metal boards, and he found that right away the first time he stopped and had trouble grabbing the stand with his foot.
