Default Bleeding brakes?

My bike is a 2009 Electra Glide UC with ABS brakes. I want to replace the stock master brake cylinder & reservoir with the chrome version. What is needed to bleed the system after swapping it over?

I've previously changed a front hose on a non-ABS bike, but not ABS. When swapping the master cylinder, If I'm careful not to get too much air in the hose... will I be able to bleed the air from the hose/cylinder by pumping the handle or will it require cycling the ABS system to ensure all the air is out of the system?

Thanks,
John.

You can bleed it at the pipe joint on the end of the master cylinder. Be careful for your paint.

You need to bench bleed the master cylinder. There will be left over fluid in brake line down to caliper. Hopefully it won't be much of a PITA to bleed. I have no experience what so ever with ABS. Good luck.

Disconnect the line at the reservoir and keep it elevated, so that it doesn't drain and only minimally leaks any fluid...(protect your paint!!!)

Bench bleed the master cylinder as mentioned above. Mount the new, bled master cylinder, reconnect the hose, and then bleed as you would a non-ABS bike, BEFORE ACTIVATING THE ABS MODULE....

This will allow you to bleed the small amount of air that may get into the line, without getting it into the ABS unit....
