has anyone heard of this before- Ijust ordered my 08 Rocker and when talking to my dealer about the power commander he said I should get the race tuner because the commander is only good for aboout 2000 miles sounded alittle strange to me.
John
That makes absolutely no sense at all. Makes total sense that he'd try to push a SERT on you, more money for the dealer. I'm a Thundermax guy though, so I guess I have nothing of any real value to add!
Depending on how **** you are in regards to ultimate engine tuning, probably pound for pound the SERT is a better product/tool then the power commander. I looked at both for some time before going with the SERT.
I know guys that have 50,000 mile on a PC.I ran one for 3000 miles then pulled it off and sold it for $200.00 when I went to the DTT.The SERT is a Harley product so sure that's what He'll tell You.You just gotta figure out how to sift through all the Harley BS when You talk to these jokers. If You buy a SERT,it's yours for ever.A PC can be pulled off and resold if You wanna to go to something different.
I have an 07 Roadglide witha Stage 1 kit. I installed the Cobra FI2000 Closed loop system . It uses the o2 sensors. The bike idles smoother, more power at all levels and the engine runs 30 degrees cooler. I've put 6K miles on it with no problems. It takes about 20 minutes to install and is adjustable for future engine upgrades.Money well spent for $270.Cowboy
That Cobra FI2000 sure is easy on the wallet compared to a PC or SERT, and Dyna time. Anyone else have any expierence or recommendations with this product?
Ive got Python slip ons, but would like to add a HP air cleaner to run stronger and cooler.
