Looking for some advise. Want to upgrade my audio on a 2008 Street Glide. I see lots of posts on speakers and amps but not a bunch of specific info on the stereo. I am looking at the Fusion MS-RA70. It's not pretty but it looks waterproof. Only need bluetooth, no CD. Has anyone installed this unit. If yes, any lessons learned.
Appreciate any and all feedback. Cheers
They say it’s IPx7 water resistant and being a marine unit I wouldn’t worry about that part of it. Personally I would care about not being able to us my handle bar controls as I highly doubt they would work anymore. The Aquatic AV unit is designed for HD’s and retains full handlebar controls.

You want to upgrade the radio on your 2008 StreetGlide and say you don't need handlebar controls because you DOUBT they work any more?? Your kidding right? You can't tell??

what does your response even mean???? Did you mean to copy the OPs quote?
I never said you dont need handlebar controls and I highly doubt this Fusion unit will recognize Harleys handlebar controls.
Absolutely want to keep handlebar controls. I looked at the Aquatic as well. I did see some posts about the Marine style Sony and Kenwoods not handling the weather so I figure there must be some better options. $500-600 budget.
Thanks

Edit:
Lol, sorry guy. Got you and the OP mixed up. I was puzzled by the statement "highly doubt handlebar controls work" I thought it referred to the existing controls on the 08 StreetGlide not working. Didn't realize you meant with the Fusion unit. Grade 5 was the best three years of my life.

On EBay you can find the Aquatic AV AQ-MP-5BT-H model for around $320. Stronger, more features, waterproof, and retains all stock handlebar controls compared to the Fusion unit.

I would retain stock stereo and add amps and speakers to achieve the desired upgrade. Check the audio section of the forum they have some monster systems on some of those bikes.
