No offense... but actually a serious question. Why an extended brake pedal? What does it do for you, and how does the factory one "kill your foot"? The earlier bikes had a brake pedal that sat right over the footboard. I always thought that was kinda silly. What year is your bike?
I'm seriously asking, as I'm the type to typically "put up with stuff". That said, this question may make something so obvious that I might not be able to un-see it. We'll see!
I have had an extend brake pedal on 2013,2016 , 2017 and one is going on my 2020. Now the why. Forget extend for a minute. The stock pedal come up at a sharp angle, making it harder at extreme low speeds to use rear brake and clutch to move in tight spaces. The extended pedal lowers that angle a good bit giving you better control of the brake. There are two different ones . One for bike with hard lower and those with out lowers.
Kuryakyn offers both sizes and either Black or Chrome. Theirs also has a grease fitting if you get a chance to try one you every well may like it.
I had the Kuryakyn on my 14 SG w/o lowers. Wat better then stock for the reasons everyone mentioned. Put new boards on, and in that process, decided I wanted to widen them out and wanted a longer lever. Went with the +3" Softbrake. It; gave me roughly an extra inch and maintained the same angle. I got a 36"+ inseam.
